To mark the 10th anniversary of Joe Strummer’s passing, The Fiftyniners pay homage to his memory recording live in the studio two of the most emblematic songs of his career. Sonny Curtis’ “I Fought The Law” was one of the Strummer’s favourite tracks, while “London Calling” is one of the most renowned and representative Clash songs. More than ever we need Joe Strummer, the father of punk who, beyond revolutionising music history, taught us to look at the world from a different point of view: true, free and rock’n’roll.

Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the new Pavilion of the Fiera Del Levante in Bari will take place ” Il Rock’n’Roll è una cosa seria”, an event dedicated to the memory of Guy Portoghese, friend and musician who died prematurely last October 4. Even The Fiftyniners pay homage sharing the stage with those who have lived unforgettable moments with the artist: The Rock’n’Roll Kamikazes (last Guy’s band), Rekkiabilly, Folkabbestia, Daniele Di Maglie, Rob Esposito and the Blue Devils, Drops. The evening will also be enlivened by the participation of Roy Paci, dj set by Miss Pia and busker sets of Nothing Less, Kadillac, Goodole Boys, Cream Crackers and members of Adels. All proceeds will go entirely to charity in order to ensure a bright future for the little Sofia.
A unique evening that although can’t fill the void that Guy has left within us, will hold high the name of rock’n’roll, which notes will sound as strong as the solos he used to give us.

The FiftyNiners will be the only Italian band to play at Beat Herder Festival among the green valleys of Lancashire, UK, on Saturday evening, June 30, 2012 on the Trailer Trash Stage. The tickets are “sold out” and the festival is the third largest in the UK and will start on Friday 29, continuing between rock and roll and electronic music until Sunday, July 1. There will be twelve stages with, among others, Orbital, Etienne de Crecy, Death In Vegas, The Whip, Slamboree, The Electric Swing Circus, Toni Jarvis, Sicknote. This participation, developed in collaboration with Mutoid Waste Co. and Trailer Trash, will give the opportunity to Fiftyniners to perform in Preston and Lancaster too.

Summer Tour >>> The End

And… Well! Thank you all for an exciting summer.
Yesterday was the last gig of the tour! It would be great to thank you one by one but it would not be enough tags on Facebook. We are glad to announce that, thanks to your love, new songs are born and they will go straight to the 3rd album of the band.
But don’t worry because The FiftyNiners will not remain with folded hands:
– Speedking will strive to become the bravest boxer from Pescara Valley;
– T-Bone will try to figure out how many fruits there were on the famous Elvis’ song;
– Nitro will buy a couple of new Gretsch.
